Which day is market day? Javea, Moraira, Calpe and Benissa

On this coast, every town has its own market day. If you're staying for a week, you can easily take in a few of them.

Thursday: Javea

Javea has a market every Thursday morning, on the Plaza de la Constitución in the old town. Villa Mi Lugar is in Javea.

Friday: Moraira

Moraira has a market every Friday morning, all year round. You'll find vegetables, fruit, clothes and flowers. Villa Prana is in Teulada, the municipality Moraira belongs to.

Saturday: Calpe or Benissa

On Saturday morning you can choose. Calpe has its market that day, and Villa Infinita and Casa Tinick are both in Calpe. In Benissa the Saturday market is in the centre, in the old town inland.

Good to know

These are morning markets, so don't go too late. Market times can shift with the seasons. If you're not sure, just ask me.

My tip

When I go to the market, I go to Moraira, because it's the closest and has a big car park. You can get delicious freshly roasted chickens there, and people queue up for them. You can also buy vegetables grown by the Spanish locals themselves.
